Commitment

As a global leader in metals and minerals trading, MRI is dedicated to fostering a responsible and sustainable commodities sector. We commit to respecting internationally recognized human rights, complying with all relevant laws, and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

We are committed to integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations, continuously seeking ways to improve our ESG performance. Through close collaboration with our stakeholders, we work to set new standards in ethical and sustainable practices, ensuring long-term value and responsible growth.

As a participant in the United Nations Global Compact initiative, we commit to aligning our strategies with its Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. To enhance our sustainability efforts, MRI has partnered with CarbonChain® to gain deeper insights into scope three carbon emissions and to assess supply chain emission intensity.

Additionally, MRI is actively engaged in independent sustainability assessments with EcoVadis®, ensuring transparency and continuous progress in our ESG journey.

Responsibility

At MRI, compliance is a core responsibility that extends to every employee. Our Compliance Framework sets clear expectations for how we conduct our business, reflecting our commitment to upholding the highest ethical and legal standards at every level of the organization. Our leadership is committed to ensuring that compliance is not just a policy, but a shared responsibility embedded in our daily operations.

Similarly, we expect our suppliers to uphold these same standards. Our Supplier Expectations document outlines how we require their business practices to align with our Compliance Framework, ensuring that ethical conduct extends throughout our value chain.

Our Compliance Framework is built on five key policies, which collectively guide our approach to ethical business conduct and accountability.

Due Diligence

At MRI, our counterparty due diligence processes are fully aligned with the legal frameworks and regulations governing the regions in which we operate. Our goal is to ensure that we partner with responsible, reputable businesses that share our commitment to ethical practices.

We adhere to the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, as well as the Swiss Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency in relation to Minerals, Metals from Conflict Zones, and Child Labour. These standards guide our sourcing practices to ensure integrity and accountability across our supply chain.

Grievance Reporting

We encourage everyone to report, without fear of retaliation, any conduct related to MRI’s business activities which they reasonably believe to be inconsistent with Our Framework.

You can do so directly to MRI’s Integrity Group in accordance with the Grievance Reporting Policy.
